Julie says "good morning"
Alot of people don't know Julie. When it's bad weather she spends her days in bed, when it's nice out she spends them grazing in the fields where she's so small she's easy to be missed. Julie is approx 17 years old but don't let that fool you the old girl still can hang with the rest of them.
6:07 am - Good Morning! Today is Open Barn Day and I think it's going to be a good one. We also just reorganized the animal therapy program and will be starting that soon. It will called rebooting with animals and with the animals guidance we'll help people remove stress, depression and anxiety. The groups will be limited to keep them personal and there will be a limited number of groups as there's many other duties to attend too. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Have a Great Day and hope to see you at Open Barn Day!
6:21 am - Good Morning! Don't forget Open Barn Day is this weekend, Saturday from 12-3 pm (see below for more info.) I hope everyone enjoys the pictures and I hope everyone has a Great Day.
6:09 am - Good Morning! We've been busy here at the farm. I apologize for not getting the posts done for a time. I hope you enjoy the pics... and Have a Great Day!
6:25 am - Good Morning! We got a little of the much needed rain yesterday evening. Hopefully, we'll be getting more soon. We had Open Barn Day yesterday. It was a slow day, I think the threat of rain and everyone getting ready for back to school kept them away. We had some cloud cover and the a breeze, so it was a good day. I hope you enjoy the pictures and have a great day.
5:05 am - Good Morning! The rain missed us last night, hopefully we get some soon. We really need it. I hope you enjoy the pictures and have a great day!
10:45 am - Good Morning! It's a beautiful day today and a little cooler which makes it even nicer. Hope you enjoy the pictures and have a great day.
10:20 am - Good Morning! It's a little cooler out today, so the animals might come out from under their fan. Curley had some extra time in her wheelchair this morning, since it was cooler. When she's ready to get out she tries to take the straps off my herself. She's got a lot of personality and is just a little spoiled! I hope you enjoy the pictures and have a great day!
5:20 am - Good Morning! It's been a hot/busy week. Looking forward to fall. I hope you enjoy the pictures and Have a Great Day.
6:01 am - Good Morning! The heat is tough. Most of the "family" you'll find standing in front of the fans. You can tell when the evening cool down begins as they start to come outside and graze. By next month we should be able to cool down a little. I hope you enjoy today's pics and have a great day!
6:12am-Good Morning Everyone! The trash truck just left and it was almost dark where it's been light when it comes. August just seems too early for that change.
Here's a few things to mark your calendars for:
Open Barn Days
We've completed the Open Barn Days through the rest of the year. We've grown in visitors and animals so we have come to the place where like other sanctuaries we shut down our open days over the winter. There is alot more work to be done on the farm then and our main concentration has to be on the animals and their needs. We will do a limited number of group and/or private tours during the winter. We'll be posting the details soon.
The following dates are the Open Barn Days through the end of the year. We hope to see you at one or more of the following dates:
Saturday Aug 13, 12-3 pm
Saturday Aug 27, 12-3 pm
Saturday Sept 10, 12-3 pm
Saturday Sept 24, 12-3 pm
Saturday Oct 8, 12-3 pm
Also, mark your calendars for Thanksgiving for the Turkeys on Nov 20th too. Julie Flanders, blogger and author will be here for a book signing of the childrens book that will be published in Sept featuring many of the farm animals here at Sunrise with Baby Moo being the star.
