5:59am-I hope everyone is dong good. I'm waiting for the garbage truck, which comes around 6pm. I have to open both sets of gates to make sure the animals don't get out. Everyone is doing good here at the farm and the warm up about freezing gives us back a little time. Somedays are overwhelming here, I'm rearranging my schedule to try to have less of those days. We're slowly getting more steady volunteers and that helps alot. And people don't realize sometimes that we're just volunteers too, even though we devote our life to the Sunrise Family. Yesterday I didn't have time to take but a few pics which I'll put on the comptuer later, but everytime I went out I saw the animals enjoying the pasture and sunnying themselves. That's what makes this all worthwhile!!! I look at Baby Moo in this pic and he's gotten so big, sometimes it's hard to think of him as that little calf that came here, but if I close my eyes I can see him then.,
1:11pm-It's always a good feeling when all the "family" is doing good. Even a little frisky. :) Casper, our goose that had his leg amputated is starting to learn to hobble using his stump and try to swim in his water bowl. That's a good sign. Though you just want to help him when he starts to lose his balance. But, he has to learn and we have to let him. Woody is completely back to his ornery self. Danny is putting full weight on his leg/hip, which makes us all feel better. Everyone else is doing fine. For those that didn't know Baby Moo as a baby the picture to the left is him soon after he arrived here at Sunirse. He was a sweetie then and he is today too.
