6:35am-Hello again! The animals are feeling spring. It always gives me hope it's coming when I see them playing and feeling frisky. We've also changed to a feed that doesn't have corn, which is better for them and we've seen a difference in them. Next weekend is going to be Open Barn Day and though it's going to be cold it will be a good day with the family. If you're interested in coming go to our Visit page for more details. The minis are coming along in their work with trust. The two mares came with very little trust as they weren't handled as much, where JJ is very trusting. So, the girls take more work. But, they're coming along. Strawberry has a wild side so has a bad reputation, especially with vets and farriers. But, she's come a long way and truly has a loving heart when you get past the rough exterior. I still remember when the girls got here and they had to go in the back yard, because you couldn't catch them otherwise. They've come along way!!! With all of them that have issues it takes love, patience and time. When they haven't been handled much or had bad experiences with humans you can't expect them to turn around without those three things. The rewards that come from working with them is more than you can get anywhere else though!
