Visit the Sanctuary
Sunrise Sanctuary offers two ways to visit and connect with our incredible animal residents: special events open to the public and private tours (and field trips).
Our all-volunteer staff spends the majority of their time caring for our 140+ animals and maintaining their living spaces, but we love welcoming visitors into their world.
Throughout the year, we host a variety of special events, including our beloved Spring Fling and Thanksgiving FOR the Turkeys, where you can meet the residents, fall in love with them just as we have, and support the sanctuary's mission.
These events are among our most important fundraising initiatives, so your attendance truly makes a difference.
Safety First
The animals are friendly, but they are animals with their own personalities. You are visitors in their home. Please do not chase or herd them, let them move away from you if they want. Do not stand directly in front or behind them. Absolutely no food is allowed on the farm. No loud noises or running of any kind will be permitted. All children need to be accompanied by an adult. Birds may peck and cats may scratch. Please be respectful of the animal family's space.

Open Barn Days
When the weather is nice, we invite our community to come meet the residents of Sunrise Sanctuary with a two-hour Open Barn Day. You can ask questions, meet your favorite residents, take photos, and explore our 19-acres of animal refuge.
